Terms of Service

Sydo Terms of Service

Effective date: July 21, 2026. These Terms of Service govern your use of Sydo, including our website, app, campsite discovery tools, AI features, support channels, and related services.

Acceptance

By accessing or using Sydo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Sydo. If you use Sydo on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

What Sydo Does

Sydo helps users search, interpret, and compare campsite availability and outdoor trip options. The service may use AI, natural-language processing, structured tools, and third-party data sources to provide campsite shortlists, fit reasons, tradeoffs, and planning guidance.

Sydo is an informational planning aid. It is not a campground operator, booking provider, travel agency, emergency service, weather service, land-management authority, or safety authority.

Bookings and Third-Party Services

Campsite bookings, fees, refunds, cancellations, reservation changes, permits, campground rules, and account requirements are controlled by third-party providers such as Recreation.gov, campground operators, parks, forests, or other land-management agencies. Sydo does not guarantee that any campsite shown as available will remain available or that a booking attempt will succeed.

When you leave Sydo for a third-party site, that site’s terms, privacy policy, fees, and rules apply. You are responsible for reviewing all booking details before making a reservation.

Availability and Recommendation Limitations

Campsite availability changes quickly. Sydo may rely on live, cached, delayed, incomplete, or third-party information. Results may be inaccurate, unavailable, incomplete, or out of date. Always confirm availability, dates, prices, vehicle limits, site length, accessibility, pet rules, fire rules, check-in requirements, and cancellation policies with the official booking provider.

Outdoor Safety

Outdoor travel involves real risks, including weather, wildfire, road closures, wildlife, terrain, water hazards, limited cell service, illness, injury, and changing land-access rules. Sydo does not provide emergency, safety, medical, navigation, weather, fire, or legal advice. You are responsible for checking official sources and making safe decisions.

AI and Tool Outputs

Sydo may use AI models and an MCP-based tool layer to interpret requests and return results. AI-generated explanations may be incomplete or incorrect. You should independently verify important details before relying on them, especially for booking, safety, travel, accessibility, legal, or time-sensitive decisions.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for the information you submit, the searches you run, your travel choices, your bookings, and your compliance with laws, campground rules, agency rules, and third-party terms. You agree to provide accurate information when using Sydo and to avoid submitting content that violates the rights of others.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use Sydo to violate laws, campground rules, land-management rules, or third-party terms.
  • Do not scrape, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with Sydo or its connected systems.
  • Do not submit malicious code, spam, misleading content, private credentials, or sensitive personal information that is not needed for trip planning.
  • Do not use Sydo outputs as your only source for safety, emergency, medical, legal, wildfire, weather, road, or land-access decisions.

Accounts and Access

Some features may require an account, invitation, beta access, or authentication through a third-party platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account. We may suspend or limit access if we believe use violates these Terms, creates risk, or harms the service or other users.

Intellectual Property

Sydo and its design, software, text, images, workflows, and other materials are owned by Sydo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Sydo for personal or internal trip-planning purposes.

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant Sydo the right to use them without restriction or compensation.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using Sydo, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy at https://sydo.camp/privacy.

Disclaimers

Sydo is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Sydo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost reservations, travel costs, injuries, third-party fees, or unavailable campsites arising from or related to your use of the service.

Changes to Sydo or These Terms

We may update Sydo, change features, suspend features, or revise these Terms. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
